And what are some offensive line (or other position) targets that we could get for that money? Specifically, are there guys out there that are expected to be cap casualties of other teams that we could possibly scoop up with our cap room? Who?
We have nearly $30 million in cap space. It's hard to know on potential cap casualties. Teams cut guys unexpectedly at this point. Ones that were already decided have already been cut. I wouldn't expect a savior to be out there, but last year Green Bay cut josh Sitton just before the season started. If a miracle happens and someone cuts a player like that I hope we are all over it this time

I think we should just ignore anyone who tries the McNair is cheap argument. It's stupid and is contradicted by all evidence in the history of the team. It's even worse than the les is cheap arguments.
The Texans are 6th in cap space (including the draft picks) So they are high but not exactly unusual Perhaps they need the space to extend Hopkins and Clowney. If that's true it brings up another question: how were we planning on extending them with Brock's contract on the books?

Brock's contract is not on the books anymore. The team took the Cap charge of the remaining bonus money when they traded him. Cleveland assumed the rest of the contract.
If anything the team is in better position now. You have your QB of the future cheap for the next 4 years, because of the rookie scale contracts, and he has more upside than Brock. You can extend Hopkins/Clowney while you still have abundant cap room, and with some vets coming off the books soon and with the Cap going up every year it seems, you'll have even more flexibility down the road.
