i'm referencing more the start than the pace. You would think after 50 plus years of baseball, the Astros could've started 7-3, 8-2,10-0..etc... that's all I'm saying. the fact that 8-4 is the best we've ever kicked things out of the gate just doesn't seem that impressive. All I'm sayin'. More of an observation that I am surprised by that stat.
ya. if we had someone to split him with sure. Marisnick is not a major league hitter, and Beltran can't platoon in left. I guarantee you, this marisnick platoon thing will be done before the all star break
yes, if Hinch doesn't know how to bean other teams the next day, he is clearly an awful manager. HINCH!
I don't think he's an awful manager. He's pretty good in fact. He just needs to man up and bean somebody.
And the Rangers go down and Gomez is living up to the hype that was created in Houston last year. Lol! Astros up 2 games now...let's finish up this series with another W tomorrow!
People expecting HOU to go to beantown + send a message weren't around when we cut Oberholzer for his shenanigans. Correa wasn't hit on purpose. His scouting report is pretty clear to pitch inside. Baseball is a dangerous game, not every HBP is intentional or needs a "message sent". Sometimes you're just on the poor end of accuracy and risk. That's why depth is so vital (and frankly why I'm so excited for this team). Now we have the depth to let Correa take time off if he needs to rest up. It's a long season folks, were bound to get some bumps, breaks, and bruises along the way.
Why the hell did the NBA put the Warriors game around the Athletics vs Astros time? Stadiums are literally 5 feet apart. Same Parking lot.
Seems like a weird time to complain about it, given Marisnick's 1.000 OPS and Reddick's 0.600 OPS early on. Regardless of the better plan long-term, it's worked out well so far.
