Keeping the ball away from defenders' swack downs when going up for a layup is just good fundamental basketball. It's the very essence of basketball. Like Jordan switching hands at the last second on a lay up to avoid a block. Or reversing a layup. Or putting your body between the defender and the ball to avoid a block. Harden doesn't force a person to smack the crap out of his biceps and forearms. Is he supposed to present it in the most ideal way for the defender so he can get a good swipe on the ball? There is no one in the history of NBA basketball who I have a lower opinion of than Draymond Green.

What Harden does is trying to draw fouls by creating contact, and sometimes he does initiate those contacts for sure. So I get why it could be frustrating for the opponents, but as far as I know that's playing within the rules and refs are not idiots, they know Harden's reputation so they wouldn't call all those fouls if they weren't legit. You don't have to like that style of play, but it's legal to do so, unlike kicking people in the face.

Came into say the same thing.

Harden takes advantage of defenders reaching in, and does a rip through and throws his arms up. Sure, it's "unnatural."

Steve Adams was not reaching in with his junk.

Yeah. Everything Harden does is within the confines of the rules.

Green kicking players is against the rules and sportsmanship in general.

Furthermore, It's very immature and classless when criticized for your faulty behavior to point the finger to someone else as if that absolves your actions.

But in all honesty, I'm surprised Green is even literate enough to make a coherent statement. He looks very dumb.

edit: I have to say, reading Green blabber about kinesiology and body mechanics was amusing. Again, spouting random bro-science confirms how dumb he is. He should just stick to axe-kicking people like Booker-T.

By the way, Harden has cut down a lot on the 'flailing' thing, he rarely does it now. Even Coach Nick at the Basketball Breakdown mentioned this in one of his videos. Harden still tries to create contact in various ways, and again you don't have to like that style of play, but it's completely legal and within the rules to do so. CP3, Wade, Durant, Westbrook, DeRozan, etc. all do it, Harden is just guilty of being so good at it.
