Lillard's defensive rating is shockingly bad

I still like ESPN'S RPM rating for offense at least. Its matches "eye test + research" enough. For Defense it is flawed, but decent matches. It'll show Pat Beverley and Rubio are good, Jason Terry and Damian Lillard really bad on D as you'd suspect.

Defensive metrics still show its way influenced by TEAM DEFENSE. If you see one player's name, his TEAMMATE will probably be listed close (like 6 Spurs players in the top 30 or something). So it'll still be more bad then good for the designated #1 option defenders like Trevor Ariza and Avery Bradley. If you don't have good rim protection and rotating help defense, forget having a good individual rating lol.
