From Houston originally, but live in Dallas. Sucks seeing the Mavs all the time, but the NBA League Pass is coming into my house...
here's a temporary solution... I created a group in yahoo called: Houston Rockets fans in NYC It can be reached by going to the following address: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/houstonrocketsnyc Does anyone else find it very strange to form a group in NYC to root for a team that's a time zone away? Has this ever been done before in NY? Seems almost wrong, but how can anyone root for the Knicks.
i'm a UT grad as well, i was watching the football game vs. kansas state this weekend in a bar full of k-state grads. i drank my beer and grinned. well, maybe i talked a little noise- but it would have been more fun with some amigos. i am down with organizing some kind of get together for a rocket game or two. i am in brooklyn(park slope) if anyone has any ideas.
not that you asked me, but I also grew up in Pasadena.. used to live in the area around South and Southmore.(I think it was called Tanglebriar) and for a short time on Harris at Burke. PHS class of 83
I feel touched to Post.... Im originally from Los Angeles...Grew up a Laker and clipper fan, but in the early 90s Hakeem was my favorite player after Byron Scotts career started to wind down . Hakeem was my favorite player through the 90's and ive stuck around. Yao is now my favorite player. But im stil a Clipper fan. I turned on the Lakers after this offseason I live up in Inwood...and I already ordered League Pass but would love to hook up with otherrockets fans for some big games
