Morey more or less likely to pull off trade?

Surprised no PG on a minimum deal, because we cannot count on Gordon and Bev health wise!

Brewer + KJ + another asset (first or 2nd round pick) should get you a solid PG that a current team doesn't want anymore. Although Holic is about 2 years too late on his Rubio prediction, it does make some sense now. This is assuming Minnesota will finally cut their losses and take what they can get. Rubio's salary really is an overpay even though I do think he is a valuable player and may be reasonable given the cap increase.

I think he could play 25+ minutes a night as a starter or backup and be pretty successful with this team as he hasn't had the scorers/system that this team has to succeed.

I do trust that Morey has a plan to get at least a serviceable backup PG at this point. If not, then they plan to play Harden as PG and just fit pieces in around him that make sense. We do have several wings that can play SG/SF. I do like a Harden/Gordon/Ariza/ Anderson/Capela lineup as you have shooters and at least some defense assuming Capela improves on defense, etc. this year.

I like that lineup too BUT I LOVE;

Harden/Gordon/Ariza/Anderson AND Jahlil Okafor more!

DMo, KJ and #1 to Philly for Okafor
Capela, Brewer to Minny for Ricky

"Impact player"? No, I don't see us having the assets to pull an impact player... and no, nobody's gonna want a pooh pooh platter of all our various spare parts...

So probably see a minor move or two (bu pg)... but for the most part... this is the roster...

I think at then end of the day (right before TC?), Morey will pull off a dozy trade (showing that he is currently only 2nd to Jerry West as a GM)

HOU In: PG Eric Bledsoe + G John Jenkins
PHO In: G/F Corey Brewer + G/F K.J. McDaniels (HOU) + 2017 POR 2nd round pick from HOU + 2018 HOU 1st round pick + 2018 HOU 2nd round pick + rights to PG Sergio Llull + F Sam Dekker (HOU)

That's not a bad haul for Phoenix for the former 18th (& 23rd)overall pick in the draft who is currently redundant on their squad.

Tom Haberstroh's ESPN Insider article suggesting that the Heat tank this year. And part of the process would be trading away Dragic.

One team to watch: the Rockets, who may be interested in a Dragic reunion to help beef up their squad.

The Heat could do a sign-and-trade involving 25-year-old Donatas Motiejunas, who is a restricted free agent.

Or if the Heat don't want to take back Motiejunas' contract, they could just opt for a package of Patrick Beverley, Corey Brewer and picks.

According to league sources, the Heat have not made Dragic available yet, but that might change soon.
