Yeah I didn't understand that either. That lineup today was pretty bad and didn't afford Hinch the luxury of sitting Springer. It isn't like Springer will be going to the ASG, he should have played today if he was healthy.

i thought springer had to get his tonsils out.
shame he couldn't start. I don't usually complain about umps unless it's obvious, but today it was obvious. they basically scored 2 runs for them.

I got accustomed to all the winning. I just feel empty.

Hope we can go into the all-star break with a win.

Or they could have lost two games in the standings with the Rangers playing an even worse opponent.

If you're going to "struggle", best be done at a time when your opponents are struggling too. WC right there for the taking. Division is still within grasp. Plenty of baseball left.

Disappointing outing for Lance. He was squeezed on some high pitches, but he got some strikes on some balls outside. His command was lacking overall, gotta do better. Still trust him more than any starter not named Fister though. And he can have a good 2nd half. He'll get some extra rest with the ASG break for a strong return. Our offense was mostly shutdown... no Springer hurt, but he's not the end all. Gotta win today. A 6-4 home stand is not good, but it's acceptable.

You could say that about literally every game of the season. Thursday was no more crucial than any of the other 80ish games they will still play.

You could say that about any of the other 70 plus others losses we will have as well.

And if we make the playoffs by 1 game (like we did last year) will you bring up the last series against the A's (when we swept them at home)? Or the consecutive sweeps against the Angels? Or the sweeps against the M's and O's?

Why this one in particular? Why not the other 70-80 games we'll have lost?

he's slow, but it was played on 1 hop off the wall, and a strike into 2nd on 1 hop also. Beat the runner by a full half second or so

Gomez shouldn't be batting before Valbuena anymore no matter who the pitcher is, lefty or righty. Valbuena has become one of the team's big run producer and should have been up in that spot last inning to try and get the run home.
