I don't think Rumble can take a short notice fight -- it's been offered but he probably weighs about 230 right now. Maybe a catch weight fight...

Another name emerges ... According to sources, Rashad Evans is interested in fighting Jon Jones on 4/23. One thing Evans has going for him above all: he's scheduled to fight Teixeira on 4/16 so he's in shape. Also, I think he knows JBJ a little.

As I wrote about 30 mins ago, though, that fight isn't official and according to multiple sources Rumble leaning towards not fighting 4/23.

 

I seriously doubt it would happen but if I were in charge I would go with Bones and the Spider. Silva's next fight is in May so he should be in shape. Its a super fight dream match that would do huge business. Again I doubt it would happen.

 

Ovince St. Preux it is.

 

UFC really had an opportunity to make an interesting fight (Jones v. Heavyweight) -- Preux is the best available at LH, but it's just not a very good fight.

 

He is so not ready for a fight like this against a fighter such as the one he will be taking on.
