Republican Debate live from University of Houston

They should hold it at Melcher 160, after an Accounting mid-term and before the guest speaker from Merrill Lynch, sponsored by MISSO and HBSA, who doesn't know of any internship opportunities at this time.

 

Very strange place for a Republican debate. Shouldn't they have held it at Texas A & M or SMU, less diverse schools with Bush libraries?

agreed, UH rep continues to grow academically. needs some improvement on # of applications and acceptance rates but already i think the school ranks 3rd in public schools behind UT and A&M and I think could surpass A&M academically in the near future.

As a UH alum, that's crazy talk. The school will need a Phil Knight-esq donation before you can even consider that prediction

What?? Dude, I'm about as pro-UH as any Aggie you'll ever meet, but this is ridiculous. In terms of alumni donations, research funding, overall academic requirements, and a whole bevy of other reasons, UH is not in the same stratosphere as A&M. I'm not saying the gap hasn't closed, I'm just saying that there is no way UH is surpassing A&M academically in the "near future."

I like UH a lot, and recommended to a lot of people, but you need to get real man....the chances of that happening are slim to none unless something major shakes up.

 

Don't knock it. It's a great opportunity for UH and, by extension, the City of Houston. Proud of them snagging the event, even if they do have to host a clown show.
