Cavs already have their Ryan Anderson (and locked in on a long-term deal where Anderson is/will be a free agent).

Not sure why they'd want Dwight. How does Dwight help them beat Golden State and/or San Antonio and/or Oklahoma City?

He's not a double team threat. He is a hack-a-player threat. Warriors(especially) & Thunder can take him out of the game by going small. How does he help me beat them?

    Anderson / Dwight

    Love / Mozgov

Dwight is great against GS and Love is not.

    Varejao sounds like a salary dump. ($9,638,554 | $10,361,446(NG) | $10,000,000(NG))

    If NO did this: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=h38bssm

    Hou in: Evans, Love, Mozgov
    Pel in: Lawson
    Cavs in: Ariza, Howard, Anderson

They would have enough money to sign both Durant and Derozan...

    They're lineup would be

    Holiday
    Derozan
    Durant
    Davis
    Asik

    Jesus...

I just have a hard time thinking Lebron & his cronies want an alliance with Dwight & the Fegan/Relativity powerhouse.

So while it makes sense on paper to work a Love for Dwight (and filler mega deal), I just haven't seen any evidence that this is a superstar partnership Lebron wants. And what Lebron wants... Lebron gets.

The hack-a-player threat is legit. But I feel to beat GSW you can't play their game, but instead muddy it up. You have to solve the Draymond Green problem at C. And that means tough rebounding. When Tristan Thompson and Mozgov were getting those boards, when Zbo & Gasol were getting those boards they made it tough on GSW. I think that is the only way to beat them.

I actaully think they regret the KLove deal and want Dwight's expiring contract

The Anderson addition makes it just about perfect for Cleveland.

Ideally we pawn off Brewer on NO in the bargain.

    Love, Mozgov to Houston
    Anderson, Howard to Cleveland
    Brewer, Jones to NO

That would be ideal though NO may balk on Brewer and want Ariza or a pick, KJ, Harrell, Capela, etc

JR remember Dwight excels in the playoffs, he's a much different player than in the regular season. He brings it. What big man in the playoffs for Cleveland is better than him?

Playoff Dwight is a beast. Howard / Labron / Thompson front court would be unreal offense and defense, Howard hate would stop, and he'd start getting some calls. I think that team could be a real threat for GS.

    TT/ Anderson
    Ariza
    Lebron
    Irving

    How says no?
This team can beat GS and San Antonio

Why are we worrying about how to make Cleveland better?

Cleveland potentially wants Howard, Ariza and Anderson? Well of course they do. I want Lebron on the Rockets. We don't always get what we want.

I would be very reluctant for a deal that was built on the framework of Ariza and Howard for Love (and Mozgov?). We are such a bad team and Ariza and Howard are our two best defenders. Love's defense definitely wouldn't help and Mozgov isn't as good of a defender as Howard is.

Ariza makes more sense than Anderson for them honestly. With Howard, they need depth on perimeter. And Ariza can guard the wild card in D. Green. Cleveland's death lineup would be Howard / Ariza / Labron / Smith / Irving. Thats a LOT of athleticism at every position (and 4 shooters). Something like Howard / Ariza for Love / Mosgov would work.

Playoff Dwight is great. I just have my doubts. Don't kill me! :)

Is Cleveland even interested in Howard?

Are they already ready to move on from Love after
    1. trading Wiggins for him
    2. giving him that max deal
    3. not giving that team a chance in the playoffs.

It sounds like they may be exploring but who knows.

I'm with you. Howard/Ariza for Mosgov/Love makes sense to me. But with the Rhyno rumor I'm just spitballing now. We've never heard that Cleveland is interested in Howard but if you're going to try and take on GS and SA you need to load up as best you can. If I'm the Cavs I'm trying to figure out how to get Ariza, Howard, and Anderson. If I'm Morey I'm thinking of how to get Love and dump all my contracts for a run at Conley and Durant.

Cavs trade for Ryan Anderson, get rid of Love. Let Anderson walk and sign Durant this Summer.

Off course is a step back for the rockets

but you have Harden and Love lock with long contracts

and a lot of capspace this summer

If the Durant legend is true

    Bev
    Harden
    Durant
    Love
    Dmo/Capela

is a god place to start
