Maybe this is crazy or the math won't work, but if you DO trade Dwight how about Lopze and young from the nets and fillers/picks? Nets desperate for big name, and if they trade for Dwight can pay him the most, and Dwight has always wanted Nets. It would be his team, owner is open with checkbook, and has a star/superstar in the bank for several years (probably for another 2). On the other hand Lopez is offensive minded and can mesh well with harden bc he doesn't clog the paint, and can get buckets in the traditional way. Young is decent and can be traded for assets if needed.

Based on the offers I hear, I prefer to keep Dwight for cap space and resign him to a lower per year deal with the fifth year as the carrot like 5/$18m to beat out other four year offers (eg 4/$22.5m) not counting tax breaks. Then we can keep him or trade him once his value is locked in. And if you get him for that you can get max for JD). I don't believe for one second that Atl trades horrors/Teague for Dwight/fillers.

If these trades and rumors are just set up trades, it could mean something like this:



Dragic / MCW / Terry
Harden / Thornton / Mayo
Ariza / Brewer / Dekker
Dmo / Jones / Harrell
Whiteside / Capella / Smith

Not sure what this accomplishes, but its definitely a shakeup.

 

That would be dumb...I'd take that deal for the Kings though.

I think ESPN messed up their win projections. I'm pretty sure every trade i've tried has been negative for all teams involved.

 

That number is based on PER which is completely and totally worthless.

That is a huge lateral move. All those revolving parts around the position of the most need.
