For all of you wondering what can France do right now. There is an answer but you might not like it.
When Israel was facing suicide bombers and bombs at busses everyone in the streets of Israel were terrified to walk outside of their houses.
I was just finishing my training in the military when they announced operation defensive sheild.
This was a wide operation with the intent of finding every weapon and dismantling every terrorist group in the palestinian territorries. We went house to house, door to door. I lost many friends, but because we went with such a strong and intimidating force the resistance was weak and we succeeded with relatively low number of fatalities on both sides (point of emphasis was to try and keep the other side from harm as you couldnt know whos a terrorist and whos a civilian).
Point is since then no suicide bomber and big organized attacks were carried on our country.
You can't stop Jihadistic Islam from trying, but you can intimdate them, and you can take away their weapon of intimidation.
The weakness the west is showing towards Jihadistic Islam and terrorist organisation is what makes them braver and stronger.
When you are in the line of fire you must be strong and jump right in. If you ignore it or run away it will consume every good part around you. This kind of fire, with that kind of backwind you just can't contain

The scumbag Israelis were successful in kicking people off their land, bulldozing their homes, and torturing them because they can control the border and the US covers their asses. That tactic doesn't work with tens of millions of people in large countries with long borders. Bush already tried it in Iraq. Otherwise, just fabulous advice.

While I understand why Americsns might not see the reasonings and nececities of war far away from their homes, Europe has managed to put itself in the line of fire due to open imigration, geographic proximity and history if giving up to extremist. France in particular had many years to take apart its terrorist cells from within but failed to do so.
I'm not trying to make this thread about Israel because its not, its about what to do and how to react when your civilians are in the line of fire.
Jihadistic Islam should be afraid of Europe and not the other way around

Nobody is conflating this with ALL Muslims. However, Islamic State thrives in the heart of the Middle East, a place where Islam dominates and other religions like Christianity are increasingly not tolerated - at all.

So why is it that in the middle of the most concentrated area of Islamic citizenry on Earth a coalition of Western military forces is required to combat these people, if in fact they and their methods, which ARE associated with Islam, are opposed by a majority of Muslims?

Does that really make sense to anyone? Really?

Why don't Muslims and Islamic governments around the region join to together to rid their lands of this latest terrorist threat in the name of Islam? The truth is, they do not appear to be very interested in taking that task on at all. Instead, they stand by while these groups continue to develop, grow and thrive. Of course that has the same effect as supporting these many radical Islamic terrorist groups, regardless of how politically incorrect it may be to say so.

You should, but here in Germany everyone that mentions the danger of this and a lot of refugees being IS soldiers will immediately be labelled a Nazi, idiot, right-wing nut, preacher of hate and diversion.

ATW mentioned it as well, you make a remark about this topic online and all your German friends will murder you verbally. It's sad.

then you got loads of uninformed left wing nuts in that case in Germany and other European countries

I never liked either extremes - left or right....

I marched with them to show solidarity but enough is enough

Most of them are students that have rarely gone through bad times

Because their armies are a joke and couldn't take out ISIS if they all got together and tried.

I don't think conflating it with Islam is the same as conflating it with all Muslims.

The people of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates could easily purchase the fanciest aircraft and go to war with Isis with the Trillions they have combined.

You mean Iran has not been very serious about tackling Islamic State?:confused::confused:

IS is in active war with, at last count, Syria, Egypt, Hezbollah, Iran, Lebanon, the Kurds, hell, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban even. That's how bad their ideology is--even other extremist interpreters of Islam are working very hard to kill them.

If you're talking about the relative apathy of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE/Qatar, they're too busy getting soccer stadiums together and signing arms deals with the UK and America. To the extent that it is "politically incorrect" to condemn those nations, that has as much to do with the West's extreme dependance on carbon resources and avoiding refugees as anything else.
