Maybe it's just me but at first glance there aren't very many homestand stretches...whereas there are multiple 4 game roadtrips throughout the season (even right off the bat)
Three 4 game road trips and one 5 game road trip. vs. Just one 4 game homestand, and four 3 game homestands. But I'm not sure if that's bad or good. Obviously, you wouldn't wnat to have a 10 game roadtrip, but a 4 game roadtrip... meh... no big deal imo. Maybe better for team bonding or whatever.
Weird schedule, looks like they’re going for short homestands and road trips. Lakers not until January? We’re not really treated like top dogs, getting some shitty opponents for national games, but a very good start and ending possibility. We should get 60 wins regardless and national commentators aside from JVG on ABC are shitty anyway so I’m actually not too keen on national tv. Drexler however ruins home games and that new guy tends to ruin away games so opponents commentary is the way to go. All in all, glad we getting at least every big team on ESPN / ABC once. TNT can only be saved if they fire Reggie, Webber, Shaq and the corpse of Marv Albert. ESPN needs to fire Hubie, Doris, Jon Barry. Both need fresh blood! Warriors getting too much attention and especially Pelicans hype is way out hand while Raptors getting shafted hard.
I would have preferred opening night... Clippers vs. Raptors -- Come on man! Kawhi deserves to get his ring in-person along with a standing ovation from Toronto for winning them their first championship in franchise history. Rockets vs. Lakers -- This has been a great matchup for an opener the past decade or so. Both teams have played an opener against each other 4 times in the last 12 years with some exciting games that have gone down to the wire. Two heavyweight contenders in the West. What's not to like about that. Nonetheless, I'm thrilled about the Christmas Day matches... Celtics vs. Raptors Bucks vs. Sixers Rockets vs. Warriors Clippers vs. Lakers Those are probably the best teams in each conference and they are all playing each other. What a great Christmas present for basketball fans everywhere!
Hopefully they have the clippers and lakers play last and we start around 4 or 5. Edit: we play at 4. Sweet.
Curry and Zion are big draws. Despite being the defending champions, the Raptors really have no one that casual fans want to see.

Very balanced, nice breakdown! No excuses anymore for any player or team about being tired, don’t want to hear about load management and resting games. Harden in particular won’t have it so that’s good, it’s up to MDA to just not rely on the guy too much. Harden can’t and shouldn’t have to create everything. That’s why we got Westbrook so let’s go, 60 wins!
Oh, no. Harden was an absolute monster on B2Bs. It's strange that I only feel like I'm 80% joking about not liking a season with fewer B2Bs. Harden, you crazy b*stard.
It's probably not wise of me to say I like the schedule, but it looks very balanced to me; there aren't any stretches where I expect them to be really challenged. I could be wrong, of course, but if the Rockets struggle for any length of time I would think it's because a) guys got hurt, b) the Rockets are bad (hope not), or c) the roster got shook up.
By the way, opening day just got a lot better with Clippers at home vs Lakers and Raptors getting rings at home!
