Houston has a lot of games on television. At least one a week. The conference made a good tv deal (at least concerning exposure).
Most of the games are televised at worst on ESPN3. There were a few of the lesser OOC not televised but not too many.
Cougars were up 15 or so and then Cronin spent an entire timeout screaming at the referees and when play resumed it was a free throw parade for Cincinnati. Completely changed the game. Not saying the Cougars didn't contribute to their own loss, but the game shifted after that tirade.
Win today, and we are right back in the discussion. But in 4 years, they just haven't been able to deliver in the game that counts and Cincinnati was just another one of those game. If they get in they have to earn it and prove that when it matters, they do all the right things, and deliver. When it comes to Cinn they are probably just more talented. But the Cougars must execute against some of these other quadrant teams and prove they've grown beyond what they once were.
Seems to be the year we make it to the tourney, but wouldn't be surprised if we find a way to choke towards the end of the regular season.
17-5... Liked the win, but we did start to crack toward the end. Thankful for the Davis step through as that basket was huge. They were stressing. Interesting thing is that Gray talked about closing after the game. So he's aware. He wants it. They rely on him too much at the end of games, which is fine, he's our guy, but he's undersized for those big moments. But huge win. Woo. Great win. 16-1 run and finish over the last 6 minutes. That's a game we would have lost in the last few years. Brooks stepped up in the right game. And the defense lived up to the hype at the end. Gigantic win.

I wonder if in the backroom conversations Houston will get any street cred for playing the entire season on the road. I mean if road wins mean more this year, yes please...
Solid win tonight, we made them look like a high school team. Devon Davis looked like a new player. He drove the lane at will. But it was just Tulane. Whatever happens against Cincy shouldn't matter, but we get the win I think we'll have this ncaa tourney thing nearly locked up. Lose, and all we have to do is win against inferior competition.
