    How the hell do you get rid of this sh*t

    Pop ups are annoying the hell out of me
    and it seems XP just hold on to EVERYTHING

    1) Download and run:

    Adaware
    Spybot

    2) Then download and install Mozilla Firefox.

    3) Never use Internet Exploder again.

    :)

    the google toolbar blocks popups really well. also download adaware and spybot for safety sakes. and didnt firefox just have a huge security problem??

    It wasn't a security problem with firefox, it was a security problem with windows that firefox opened. It was patched within an hour of being found to be a security vulnerability. Those big holes that were exploited in IE last month still haven't been patched.

    Yeah, I've seen that one too, but I thought johndoe was referring to the one I made the thread about.

    Still waiting on those IE patches . . .

    Yahoo and MSN also have pop-up blocking toolbars.

    They also make the google toolbar for Mozilla Firebird.

    Thanks for the help. I will put on the Google Toolbar
    but
    is there a way to simply remove it from my system
    everytime i Uninstall it. . .it comes back

    It is in your registry - unless you REALLY know what you are doing, I recommend you let adaware try to take care of it.

    Something is driving my CPU USAGE up to 100%
    all the time. I thought it was a Virus or the Pop Ups
    but i am still having the problem
