Honestly I saw it with my sons... The 3D element isnt worth it...But the experience is...Its amazing how Lion King makes adults sing along...I myself(6'3 , 275lb black man) was singing hakunamatata to myself.... I would recommend taking him...

So the 3D wasn't a big deal? Dang.....I thought it added a lot of depth of field from the trailers I saw.

But, I do agree...seeing it in the theater is never a bad thing, it is an EXCELLENT movie....maybe the best standard animated feature of all time.

Some parts of the movie look better than the original, but not that big of difference to me.... I thought they remade it into the newer animated films, thats the main reason I went to see it...But it still looks cartoonish more than 3D ..IMO

Does Simba slowly yell "NOOO!!!!" when his father dies or did they leave everything original?

Oh snap, I ruined the movie for all kids here who haven't seen it yet. A mod has to spoiler it before word spreads around. :(

I wonder if it'll have the same life-changing affect on kids today as it did with us when we were young. We didn't have that many animations like kids do today.

I can still feel that pain I had in my chest when I saw daddy lion... err... nevermind, for the kids who haven't seen it. ^_^
