    Surprised no one has commented on the big social media marketing push by International House of Pancakes. I suspect its an effort to float out a new branding program, but in a very different way. People are going crazy about it on twitter... and other companies are joining in the fun:

    The dumbest thing from all this, is that it took so long for them to serve burgers. I mean, how do you eff up a burger with a flat top grill? For them not to have served them all this time was pretty stoopid.

    They've had burgers on their menu for a very long time, they just never really emphasized or marketed that offering very much, until now I guess. I've only seen someone order a burger there just a handful of times in my life, could be why they're taking such extreme measures to make it known "hey! we got burgers!"

    They're not actually changing their name. It's just a social media blitz and it worked fantastically. They are getting tons of free advertisement...even on Clutchfans.
