    Luckily that's what I bought though. $4.93 for 6ft through Monoprice.

    Don't you know you're supposed to ask first? :)

    In all honesty, the odds are good that it may not matter until you start getting into pushing something like Deep Color through ancient-spec HDMI cables (it may or may not work), or some future HDMI technology that requires even more bandwidth may not be able to be pushed through original-spec HDMI cables. The only reason I mention it is that on monoprice, it's so dang cheap to get the Cat 2 cable.

    Yes, they do. I stopped using Comcast a few months ago, but before that, I had a Comcast box with HDMI for about a year. Just go to the store and switch it.

    I just traded in my old comcast digital cable box for one that has HDMI, so they DO have them.

    Can I ask which store you went to? I know they basically have what they have so I am wondering which store is more likely to have the box I need.
