I’ve been advocating that Ime should get one more yr to turn things around. Honesty his refusal to adjust has me thinking that's just who he is. In which case, another yr isn’t gonna change anything. Obviously there’s no way Ime is getting fired this offseason, but I hope Tilman is officially queuing up the hot seat. There’s just no way another coach couldn’t do a little better. I fully acknowledge the roster is flawed, but there’s no excuse for not having an answer to the KD double team this late in the season.
Ime's refusal to bench Tari should be enough for him to get run. This obsession he has with wings and his habit of playing favorites with certain players while giving a very short leash to others are serious issues. It's only gonna get worse next season as we know he'll just go right back to playing Fred 35+ minutes a night no matter how many 3-16 shooting performances he has.
THE HOUSTON ROCKETS HAVE FIRED IME UDOKA Yeah, I wish. And during Stone's press conference: "Mister Fertitta wanted to go in another direction. We wish Ime all the bes....um, wait one." (person whispering from off stage) "Mister Fertitta wants to see me? Now? But I'm in the middle----Okay." (expression of a middle aged executive just arriving in Shawshank) AND RAFAEL STONE, TOO
No Rockets coach since Rudy has lasted a full five seasons. Milkhair came the closest by going 11 games into his 5th season.
ESPN's writeup of this last game mentioned we've lost 12 games to sub-500 teams. 3 or 4 games is understandable. Tired. Off games. Something. But 12? Even worse than last season, and last season was nigh-on appalling.
Now I understand why he runs his mouth so much on the sidelines. Just completely overcompensating for his lack of coaching skills.
