Really enjoyed the 2nd episode. Felt like a classic MOTW episode.

Ditto, thought everybody felt more comfortable and the story line felt more natural.

Not sure how I feel about it. Confused by the first episode honestly.

When the internet guy calls Mulder a true believer and Mulder says "I want to believe, but evidence has been hard to come by" I almost lost my jaw it fell so hard. Are the first 9 seasons and two movies no longer cannon? He may not have proof in his hands to show someone else, but surely he has proof that should make HIM a true believer. I mean, he saw aliens with his own eyes. He saw hybrids, he saw spaceships, his love was abducted, etc. I mean what the heck does he mean he hasn't found proof?

Also, not sure where they are going with the storyline of a "conspiracy of men" but they seemed to mock the idea of warring aliens. They didn't just hint at warring aliens though in the first 9 seasons, we saw it. Is that all going to be erased?

Hoping the second is better than the first episode, I'll watch it tonight. Love this show but lord the acting is atrocious. Just very, very bad.

Can you give an example of the bad acting?

Why? What was wrong with her performance?

Her performance just seemed forced and unnatural to me.

Now that I'm thinking about it. Every actor that has appeared in both episodes seemed to give a more convincing performance in episode 2. So maybe I should place the blame on Chris Carter as a director. James Wong directed episode 2 and everything about it just felt better.

Was this the woman walking behind Mulder and Scully when they visited the Founder's Mutations place? I don't even know what dialog was said in that walk down the halls.

Both Mulder and Scully in the first episode. It seemed like it was their first time acting or something, maybe it's just me. The sound was also muffled, almost like a first time Pilot episode. I thought episode 2 was much better, but so much was thrown into that episode. Great show, just too much at once. Loved the throwback feel though. I forgot how much I loved this show back in the day.

Mulder and Scully's talk on Sveta's porch after Mulder pieced together his theory was very flat and bad acting. It was as if they were just reciting lines.

Episode 2 was more of the classic monster of the week and felt more organic, but in this age of serialized TV, I don't know how well that would fare among reviewers. I do prefer it, though, as I thought the underlying alien conspiracy story was too convoluted and confusing.

One of the funniest and best X-Files episodes of all time. No hyperbole.

    What??

Did you WATCH the episode tonight?

One of the best-written, quirkiest and flat out funniest episodes ever. Right up there with any of the other 'wacky' ones.

You're just wrong on this one dude.

Funny episode. Good social commentary on modern life. Not much of sci-fi in this episode, though.

Not the only one who thought it was bad...
    _____

Bringing back the monster of the week formula, this third episode solidifies this comeback as a great idea that's showing some signs of poor planning and minor ineptitude.

    However, episode three disappoints, woefully.
