Yep, it was funny that @Bobbythegreat was trying very hard to disassociate Cruz from racists and white supremacists. I wish our law enforcement had a focus on all extremist groups instead of just Muslim extremist groups.

    White Supremists
    Neo- Nazis
    Antifa
    BAMN

Are all evil groups that do evil things and pray on the week minded looking for something to be apart of. There is no question that Cruz was heavily influenced by white supremacy groups. Having said that we should be looking at all local home grown terrorist groups.

I agree we should be looking for all extremist groups. Too bad our president changed that focus to only concentrate on Muslim extremists.

I am no fan of Antifa - but what terrorist act have they been associated with?

It's time the right own's up to the people they are creating. We know what stoking the flames of racial hatred and tolerance of neo-nazi groups by Trump is doing, he's empowering these people. He's making people like this feel validated. And this is the result.

I think it's mostly a false equivalency used by the right to kind of hide white nationalism. Like, "well, white nationalists are just one of many groups across the political spectrum. Look! Look at Antifa!"

Most of actual Antifa groups, from what I can find, are non-violent but state they will definitely resist a new rise of fascism, which they see in the white nationalists movement for sure. You can find radical elements of Antifa that really do believe in violent ends (to stand up to fascism). That has noble roots (versus Il Duce, Hitler, and Spanish fascism in the last century), but it's still not a good look today. But actual acts? Outside some counterprotests in Berkeley that were actually fueled by a separate and devoted group of black-clad anarchists (nihilists)? Not much.

Outside a few fringe leaflets, and some fisticuffs in counter-protests, you can't find much. They aren't training people, to the best of my knowledge, in semi-automatic weapons, how to take down as many people as possible as fast as possible, like with the kid in Florida. Antifa never hold their own marches with torches, shouting down jews and promoting a racial-based state of the future. LOL. But otherwise ... totally equivalent.

Group originally formed to fight Franco, Hitler, and Mussolini = Group formed to mirror Nazis, enjoying Nazi chants, and advocate for racial-based governance

Cracks me up. But historically, fascists used this kind of false equivalency to their political benefit. "The socialists are just as bad! They were fighting in the street too! See!" said many many Nazis in Weimar Germany.

Also you have to account for the massive influx of fake Antifa groups online that post absurd things to pass a certain narrative of Antifa and then right wing idiots repost these ridiculous groups as "omg look how evil Antifa is!".

I genuinely thing that happens. The right is more interested in manipulation and propaganda than the truth. We see it on this board.

Any time a group uses violence to try and intimidate people into acting a certain way is an act of terrorism. ANTIFA specializes in intemidation and violence. What’s worse is they have a strong prescience on college campuses.

There is another terrorist group that uses masks to cover their faces.

Because nothing is more dangerous than college kids punching Nazis. This will NOT stand.

This is the proper equivalency between Antifa and the Klan.

    Antifa

    The Klan

Absolutely! I was just at a secret Antifa rally yesterday where we plotted to infiltrate Bucees and bring about the downfall of America.

I would guess that makes you an over-sensitive Klansman. o_O

Yes the KKK has a much more horrific history than ANTIFA, I 100% agree with you on that. However, ANTIFA is still a well organized terrorist group, and like anothe terrorist group they wear masks.

Of course they are. Those windows and Nazis are absolutely terrorized. Question is why you place Antifa, a bunch of teens breaking windows and punching Nazis, with the Klan who've murdered, kidnapped, and terrorized entire cities. Why do you lack the discernment in giving a false equivalency to such degree to be completely absurd.

Furthermore, why do you support the freedom of terrorists like the Klan and white supremacist groups to organize terrorist activities in America today. This is not free speech. The premise of their organizations is outright terrorism.

crash, I take your concerns seriously. (Not sure everyone can say that.)
At least one of your photos has nothing to do with Antifa. The A with a circle is long the symbol of anarchy. I know, as a former punk-rock idiot. :D

The California anarchists, in particular, get conflated (by some) with Antifa all the time.

Not a big Antifa fan, but they seem like the new boogeyman replacing things like ACORN.
