How to defend Lakers in the final 5-minutes of the games in the playoffs?

I have a terrible defensive strategy to match up with the Lakers because of Lakers big size. It looks like each Laker has 50 pounds heavier.

    Tucker to defend Davis

    Capela to defend Boogie

    Gordon to guard Kuzma

    Westbrook to guard LeBron

Harden to guard Iguodala (it's reported that Iguodala will sign with Lakers if buyout).

What is your best match up against Lakers in the playoffs? Do you think it would be better to play Clippers rather than Lakers? Now it is tougher to win the West than last year?

The goal of this thread: Morey has to make good trade if it is not working.

they'll get eliminated first by the kings, so we'll just worry about matching up with the the kings

We don't know how these revamped teams will actually be on the court, but personally the Clippers seem like a much better team and the one to be more worried about. Both Leonard and George have pretty significant injury concerns, but if they are healthy in thr playoffs, they are the team that seems to be the biggest challenge. Not that any team will be easy- the West is going to be brutal this year.

The Lakers have even more significant injury concerns with LeBron, Davis, Boogie. That lineup that you mentioned is big, but doesnt have enough shooting. I don't know if their roster has enough shooting. LeBron wasn't the player he used to be last season and I think he is going to show even more decline this upcoming season.
This Lakers roster reminds me somewhat of the year the Lakers tried Nash, Kobe, Artest, Gasol and Howard

Be physical with AD defensively. Spread AD and Boogie or defensively and torch Boogie forcing them to put AD at the 5. Then make AD defend a great 3-point shooter. Defend AD with PJ and send help. Defend Lebron with Harden down the stretch. Go get one more defender from among

    Winslow
    RoCo
    Batum

Sign Uthoff to a minimum deal
    Sign Luc cheap

Westbrook can't guard LeBron. Will have to be Tucker or a defensive 3.

    Capela on Anthony Davis.

    Harden on boogie.

Westbrook on Iggy, Gordon on kuzma

I think are best option is to out score them. Their stars are 4 bigs that aren’t great perimeter defenders. I think we make it rain. Lakers will be garbage on defense next year. Just my 2 cents.
    Clippers on the other hand...

The point is that the current team is just too small. Morey has to make good trades to acquire some big men.

A Boogie-Davis-Lebron-Kuzma-Iggy lineup would be awful on defense. That lineup won't finish games. Could you imagine Kuzma/Boogie trying to defend the PnR together? Or Boogie guarding Westbrook/Harden on a switch?

I'm more worried about PG, Kawhi, and Beverly guarding us.

LeBron would drop 45 if Westbrook was guarding him....

I am more concerned about the Clippers. The Lakers main guys are LeBron and AD, they traded a bunch of key players to get AD... he didn’t lead New Orleans to the playoffs and LeBron didn’t lead the lakers...but to be fair, they both missed a lot of games. I’m not saying that they won’t be good, but if you look at the Clippers, their team is intact, the team that gave gsw a good playoffs series, and now they added PG AND KL.... that should be the team that we should be concern about.... and we all know how Beverly “loves” guarding Russ...

Run them to death, make them keep up with us. Forget the iso ball, we go back to being one of the fastest teams in the league. If that doesn't work, then sweep the leg.
