For you personally. This doesn't top what Watson did for obvious reasons but the first time i saw Steve Francis in a preseason game.

That's why i stayed on that bandwagon. Never seen someone his size dunk like that

I still watch his YouTube stuff

I remember rookie Yao vs. the Mavs on TNT.... game #10 of his career, and he seemingly came out of nowhere to put down a 30 pt/16rebound game.

I remember Roy Oswalt being just electric from day one of his rookie year.

Watson has made a very similar impression... he has the perfect mixture of athleticism, confidence, and god-given instinct (that won't always be evident in practice) that makes him conducive to success.

Harden's first 2 games as a Rocket comes to mind. Arian Foster vs Colts. Simone Biles, lol?

Steve Francis is up there. His first few years were as excited as I’ve been for Rockets basketball. Just watching the growth with no team expectations was refreshing.

Yao, Oswalt, and Correa are all up there too.

Good nominees with Roy and Correa. Foster was 5+ ypc and spectacular his first few games and first full season..

Based on position (QB), if Watson is everything, only Hakeem could be argued as equal or better. Francis was never two-way, but Hakeem beasted on both ends. No single baseball, football, or basketball (unless dominant on both ends) player is more impactful than a QB. We should've made history yesterday by beating NE. Warson had maybe 2 bad throws, and was basically a video game highlight reel.

I mean it was no Luke Scott hitting for the cycle in his first ever game, but it was a pretty good performance.

I'd say NBA superstars can definitely have the impact a QB does, even with bad defense. Unless we're talking Hakeem/Dwight type centers, great defenders don't really impact the game a fraction of the way great offensive players do, especially when you're talking perimeter players.

The10 blocks he had in one preseason game that convinced the Rockets to give him a huge contract was epic.

Earl Campbell vs Miami on MNF.

The first clip at :09 vs Atlanta was one of the first carries of his career...73 yards untouched. Finished that first game with 15 carries for 137 yards and the TD. And that wasn't even really his breakout game.

The second clip is 12 weeks later on MNF vs Miami. By that time, Luv Ya Blue had taken over the city and the 'Dome was in a frenzy and Earl put the game away with that 81 yard run on his 28th carry of the night. Finished with 28 carries for 199 yards and FOUR TD's. Nearly 40 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Don’t forget about the game in Luther Head’s rookie season where he came into the game and scored some points.
