Yes, LTC currently is transferring a lot faster, ETH can experience a delay based on traffic, but if waiting to invest, once you get ltc to correct exchange it might be worth holding in eth (well depending where market is at), eth seems to be doing pretty well and is just about needed on every alt coin, where as ltc is normally limited. Don't bother with btc unless an alt coin requires it. This is my recommendation at least, eth is on small dip but will certainly go higher, so could gain some small % unless you already have coins ready. With that said ltc is on a dip at the moment too, so it'll all even out
My highly uninformed game plan for the moment is to buy a little of BTC, ETH and LTC and then use a small piece of the LTC to invest in the alt-coins on other exchanges. I'll hold the BTC, ETH and LTC long term and maybe do some day trading type stuff with the others.

Hmm, in my opinion it really depends on the investment number like if you have one whole BTC or a whole ETH (or a lot more) it could make it worthwhile but if it's fractions and bitcoin only goes up 5% it's just not as great when you could take that fraction into an alt coin and get 100s-1000s and if it's like a 30.cent one or $5 one, so whatever shows promise can easily go from 30 cents to dollars in one day (or more to the moon etc), so now that investment multiplied etc etc. Now if you have like a big bankroll and want low risk then having whole coins of eth and btc depending what day/time could make a ton easily as well. That's just my opinion on quick returns but... I'm definitely not some pro guy, and if looking for low risk low/decent returns then I guess eth or even btc depending on volume could work. Eth is definitely a place I stashed alts back to if I know some things dipping hard, if not just ride it out, you only lose when you sell for less than what you paid in. So sometimes if you know it's legit and not ponzi hodl them AND do not freak out and dump if it's a real alt coin it'll come back unless the market is officially gone. I still think there's tons to be made here though. So like a dip of 40% one day and up 150%+ is possible the next. This definitely isn't the stock market. It's like the wild west or something, haha just crazy on there. And watch for the shills, some are good coins/marketing easy money, others are straight garbage.
