He actually says the opposite in the full interview ... “we have enough talent, experience, know how to play the game.”

He does provide a strong message about response to adversity, probably a long-standing motto of his ... “the real measurement of a man is how you stand during adversity. So, we’ll see. [shrug] I live for things like this. I think the other guys feel the same way.”

    listen...

WB is the human Milk Hair

I feel like Tucker are on his last legs, I don't know how he can play harder without dying.

    Russ is right.

There aren't any x's and o's with how this team plays anyways.

What they need to focus on primarily is effort.

imo, @malakas just meant every player has their own playoff-intensity gear. Only Russ uses it every game.

I mean, look at this footage of Russ playing goalie in HS soccer. Effort overcomes bad execution.

im not sure effort overcomes actual execution though. you can make the right play but just because you miss the shot doesn't mean your effort sucks. also self inflicted mistakes isn't really about effort. that's more on iq and decision making. basically effort isn't the only thing fixing the issues to me and isn't the simple fix as wb alluded

Playoff-intensity is a real thing. You can see it.

You could see it in our 27-1 run in 2018, too.

And it’s fockass and effort. That’s the *only* difference.

Russ is saying we’ll need that now, to get outta this funk and for Ws in this upcoming schedule.

I'm afraid of our role players getting exposed this post season.

I don't think Russ literally meant plays, X's and O's don't matter. I think he meant that if you're not playing with effort, X's and O's don't matter. As in you can have the best gameplan but it means nothing if players have no will to execute it.

I agree with that take but talent matters too like...Rockets are getting open shots. It's like you can't work harder taking a jump shot, either you miss it or make it. Unfortunately for the Rockets, guys like Tucker and House are missing them. It's not effort, well, Tucker it may be in his head, he can make these shots...House...I don't think he gets that benefit of the doubt.

Right. At some point we have to wonder if House is good enough and cut our losses. It's not like he was a first round draft pick, he was out of the league and we are now seeing why. Now, I'm not saying to cut the guy literally...

But we have to treat him like every other rotational player he should be given a long leash he needs to prove he belongs again.

I'm not sure if he's referring to the Harden's frustrations with House not being in the right place and him overthinking things. Kid just needs to play. The only player playing freely and looks to be having fun is Bmac. When was the last time we've seen House do his bow-and-arrow celebration?
