First off this may have already been done but Hakeem has taken our beloved search option and I can't find out. If anyone would like to rank some of the top members then I guess they could mail me their picks in order by a deadline. If this gets done how many picks should I accept? Whats the deadline? Should Clutch and/or the moderators be included? What about old or infrequent posters (Jenna, Lhutz)? What exactly is a good member? Someone funny? Bball smarts? Lots of inside info? You get the idea. Once I get some of these variables down I will set it up formally. A lot of people must be intrested, Im not going to make rankings with just 3 ballots. Remember this is a meaningless popularity contest that is really just a waste of time. Okay Ill check back later. There are far too many great posters on this site to do an adequate ranking. No sooner could I rattle off a 5 of CBFC, crispee, aelliott, Special Agent Patrol(does it count if I can't remember their moniker b/c they don't post enough?) and shanna than I am reminded of the times that Smeggy and Crisco make me laugh my arse off. Or the times when I finally feel like I might understand Mango. Or the times that ZRB doesn't whine... or the times that TheFreak and I see eye to eye on a very important point. Then you're left hoping to not offend, constantly updating your list... wishing that you had been cool enough to remember the only person you would perhaps have real chemistry w/... rimbaud, or the person whose musical tastes you agree w/ most... Grizzled. It's a never ending process. Luckily, it's a never ending process. I like posts which make me laugh, even if they are silly or if they make fun of others, as long as it is in good spirit. People who post that kind of stuff include LHutz (obviously ), DaDakota, RocketKid, rocketHEAD, RocksMillennium, SamCassell, ChuckyBrownFanClub, and almost everyone else once in a while (even Crispee). The only person that comes to my mind right now that I have never seen display any sense of humor in a post is Mango (sorry ). I also like posts which give us inside information, like Oeilpere's, DocRocket's and obviously Clutch's. Also, I like posts with reliable information like aelliott's and NIKEStrad's stuff about the salary cap. AND - I even like those occasional trolls like MR. Arbitrator, Mr. T and so on and so on.
