They "sound" more talented from past history and scouting reports, but the good news is that it would be difficult to be worse than last year. We might as well be optimistic.

I agree with that completely, they were about as awful as possible last year, only one way to go from there.

Only thing that gets me is Watson doesn’t throw the fade

I don't think anyone is expecting the O line to be good, but they'd have to try pretty hard to be as bad as they were last year.

You think the Houston Texans are going to be players in the 2018 NFL Supplemental Draft next month. They're two extremely talented cornerbacks who would of been high draft picks in the 2019 NFL Draft had it not been for academics. The higher regarded one is Sam Beal out of Western Michigan and Adonis Washington a very athletic and intense cornerback from Virginia Tech is the other. With the Houston Texans with an extra 2nd rd pick for next year (via Seattle Seahawks) and having high priority in each round due to our record last season, I can see them doing their serious diligence more so than others. Texans also don't have that young cornerback they can turn over once Jonathan Joseph and possibly Kareem Jackson leave the Texans in the not so distant future. Also, Kevin Johnson is hitting free agency after next season.

I've been trying to tell everybody this.

    Maybe now some will listen

Or they will take the easy route and blame BOB

It's his team now, he picked this O line, if it's bad, it's bad because of his incompetence. That said, I think the O line will be better this year than they were last year...but it is nice that we've identified an early excuse for BOB's potential failure.

The lack of the first pick in the 2018 draft be damned.

Don't see how that's a defense for making the line worse.

Kind of big news when it comes to an early season opponent.

Except McNair wasn't willing to pay whatever it took to get Solder here and help protect DW4. Add in that Ricky not only used this years 1st to get Watson and squandered a 2nd for cap space that went unused and tell me how YOU would've found a quality LT?

That's not actually true, the reason Solder picked the Giants over the Texans was due to his wife's preference. He's on record saying the money was about the same, several teams including the Texans were willing to laughably overpay him. He picked the one that his family wanted him to pick.

You can't blame McNair, the money was there, you can't blame Rick Smith for picking Watson. You'll have to find someone else to blame if BOB fails as GM.
