I think they’d keep atleast five, they are the ideal guys you want on special teams. Even keeping six is not uncommon in today’s NFL

Mathieu, Reid, Hal, Decoud and Moore are my five in that order

He's still better than Stephen Hill.

I'm not sure about that, he's really underperformed his whole career and has serious concussion issues, it's why he was cut. He'd be like a poor man's CJ Fiedorowicz with 2 concussions before retirement.

The more you keep in one position, the more you will have to cut from another position group. I'm good with four safeties on the active roster. A couple of the six CBs or four ILBs can slide over to play S like they have been.

Nice pickup for them. Not sure McCaffrey is ready to be a bell cow.

No they’ll keep five safeties guaranteed. They are who special teams coaches are going to pick at the end of cuts

    Defense: 25

DE: (5) Watt, Clowney, Covington, Watkins, Heath

    NT: (2) Reader, Dunn

OLB: (4) Mercilus, Ejiofor, Scarlett, Kamalu/Kalambayi

ILB: (4) McKinney, Cole, Cunningham, Peters

CB: (5) Joseph, Colvin, Jackson, Johnson, Bademosi

    FS: (3) Mathieu, Decoud, Moore

    SS: (2) Reid, Hal

I think the 7th round CB makes the team. Moore or Bademosi odd man out.

I don't think Peters makes at MLB.

Peters and Bademosi are known as elite special teamers. Texans don’t have much depth at ILB and Cunningham could move outside.

If that CB makes it, it would be the defense carrying 26..which could happen.

Virgin, Drummond, etc are in the mix for that final spot

Why would Cunningham move outside? He's an inside/cover linebacker.

I think Decoud, Drummond, and Kelly are battling it out. They will have to prove their worth in special teams.

So 9-7 with a top 10 defense and bottom 10 offense?

    Sounds familiar.
