I take back what I said about Alter Carbon being a faulty Blade Runner. I'm all in. It was bothering who played the Female?Woman? lead. So I googled, oh yeah it's an actress from those Mexican Soapies I crushed on back in the early 2000s. It's ok, she was 18, I was 20. But she lets it all go in Alter Carbon, if you know what I mean.
The acting is so bad. The directing is so bad. This show is so bad...... Rewatching Curb Your Enthusiasm. So good. Larry David is an ******* Saint.
You watching the new season? The episode where Larry picks up a prostitute so he can use the carpool lane is top notch, TOP NOTCH. McMillion$ - very well done documentary. I still can't believe I never heard about any of this during the 90's. Guess I was too busy drinking it up in college... Good Girls - end of last episode was epic I'm also watching this show that's kind of under the radar called Game of Thrones. Just started season 5.
I'm not really feeling Hunters myself. My wife is watching out of nothing else to watch, but it's very poorly stylized. Tarantino-like as someone else put it, and I can't stand Tarantino movies. But this is worse. Also not a fan of the overbearing Yiddish used.
Devs. The same guy that made Ex Machina. I've only seen the first episode. But this looks like it's well done and different. I don't know if it's only one season or not though.
Just finished watching I Am Not OK With This on Netflix. Cute show, well written and acted. Targeting younger audiences... think a combination of The End of the F**** World and Carrie and you get a good idea of whats going on.
Saw that the other day and liked it, so went and watched The End of the ****ing World which was even better, imo.
That “Dispatches from Elsewhere” is some weird ****! I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to keep watching it. It feels like LSD is a prerequisite or at least some good pot. Very weird. At this point, the juice doesn’t feel worth the squeeze. It’s probably fun to act in, though.
I named my newest dog Cooper because I got into that show 3 years ago, I’m only 30. anyways, I enjoyed Hunters. Hella twist
Devs on Hulu with Nick Offerman. Very artistically shot. Very mysterious and creepy. It may break down as mysteries are teased out, but I'm enjoying it for now.
