There is no doubt - Trump is a racist. Trying to defend him only makes the defender appear racist as well.
This isn't an answer? "I think just about any 2016 Republican candidate would have done a better job with respect to the conservative platform as Trump has"
I’m not interested in debating the meaning of the word “racism” with you. But the suggestion that some people here are not worthy to address the problems in American society because, based on their ethnicity, they come from a place that is in really bad shape is textbook nativism. With every such Trump tweet, more and more Americans will embrace this thinking and the white nationalists among us will be emboldened.
trump defender lindsey graham... comes out with the strong criticism "aim higher" but then "both sides" it... And then doubles down on trump's attacks on the four congresswoman...
This has everything to do with her lack of American values and ideals and nothing to do with her race and ethnicity. She was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, and, despite her parents getting out of there as fast as possible and coming to America, all she does is communicate her hate for this country and clearly doesn't have any American values, ideals, or an appreciation for classic American liberal tradition. She should go back is a brilliant line because outside of the minority of progressives and the Twitteratti, no one likes her. Everyone calling it racist is lying, clearly in fact, and only damaging their credibility further.
These women, I'm sure love America, just not in the way you and Trump think America should be. Them being critical of this admin and speaking up against it is very much in the tradition of America. We even have something in the Constitution about it. Telling those people critical of him and those who he disagree with and specifically targeting brown skinned women out of a pool of many others to go back to their country is both racist and as Un-American as it get. It shows that Trump hate America, the melting pot version of it. I'm sure he love America too, just the one without these brown skinned American.
A new republican attempt to defend the indefensible and spin what trump really meant... "he meant they should go back to their district"
Trump is truly America’s Bigot-in-Chief Trump’s Twitter feed is a repugnant place, and no one would want the thankless task of having to weed through all his bitter, bigoted ramblings to determine which are the most offensive. But a three-tweet thread early Sunday morning — in which he wrote that the four progressive House Democrats who call themselves “The Squad” should “go back” to the “crime-infested places from which they came” — certainly has to rank among the most disgusting. all four are US citizens; 3 were born in the USA, the other a naturalized US citizen for over 25 years. But Trump doesn’t care about such niceties. Nuance has never been his thing. He is simply spewing as usual, and in the process fanning the flames of disunity, chaos, prejudice and polarization — all cleverly hidden behind a veneer of rote and thuggish patriotism. He is playing to the lowest, most degraded emotions of his supporters while reveling in the fury of his opponents. This is the definition of demagoguery. His unmistakable point is that because some of the lawmakers’ families once lived elsewhere — in countries he would no doubt dismiss as “shitholes” — they are not really Americans like those of us to whom his tweet is directed. It is reminiscent, of course, of his long, cynical campaign to convince people that President Obama was born outside the country. But Trump’s family too came from elsewhere. His mother and grandparents were born in Europe. So is he one of “us” or one of “them”? https://www.latimes.com/opinion/edi...quad-ilhan-bigoted-tweets-20190714-story.html
That was one of the 4. Calling on America to improve its faults doesn't mean she hates America. She has not communicated hate for this country. In fact, she has made it her life's career to serve the United States of America. She has sacrificed time with her family, hobbies, etc. to devote it all to serving this nation. You might disagree with her ideas of improving the nation but you are wrong to question her love for this country. People who don't love the country won't sacrifice all of those things and put themselves through the criticism and condemnation of people who do less to serve the country than she has done. Furthermore, she suffers the insults publicly. People who hate the country simply don't do that.
Warren - This is wrong and here's X Y and Z reasons why followed by policy A B and C I will implement to fix it. Beto - That's racist, man. Gabbard - Get ****ed you bigoted pile of wet dog ****.* *- I wish
