You can ask the same question about every failed cabinet member as well. It's especially comical when he starts berating them as incompetent...um, who hired them in the first place? He is in so far over his head it should be a crime.

At least his supporters are keeping the aluminum foil industry afloat with all of their tin foil hats.

    2020 can't come soon enough.

Mr trump is going off the deep end. He's losing his mind. He hasn't made sense for a long time now, and I would argue that he never did, but how can his supporters, like @dachuda86, continue to make excuses for the idiot "in" the Oval Office after his actions of the last few days? This is insane. Literally insane. Mr trump should be impeached because he has increasingly become a danger to our country, the United States, our friends and allies, and the world at large.

There's something else I would like to point out. The Great Depression started because of a trade war. World War II started because of the trade embargo we placed on Japan because she was doing something we didn't like. The embargo literally endangered Japan's economy, as well as her military power. Japan responded with Pearl Harbor.

Does any of this sound familiar? Mr trump is putting us all in danger. He is a clear and present danger to the United States of America, our economy, that of our friends and allies, and that of the rest of the world. He needs to be removed from office. Congress needs to act as soon as possible. This should no longer be seen as a joke, even by his bizarre supporters hanging out down here. We are in a very serious and dangerous situation brought about by one man, trump.

China is just going to wait him out, China will take a few punches from Trump and delivers few as well.

Who wants to deal with Trump, you cannot trust anything he says.

This is an area where a competent and focused leader could make real improvement. Nations around the globe suffer at the hands China's infringement of intellectual property and monetary practices. The low standards for workers could also be something that many nations would agree should be examined.

If only Trump was capable or made an effort to get our allies and other nations to join in an effort to address these issues we could form an alliance and work together to put pressure on China and have a real impact that they couldn't ignore. The TPP addressed some of these issues.

Sadly Trump has nothing except his tariff trade war which hurts American companies, farmers, and consumers. It was something he did haphazzardly and now we are suffering the consequences.

China can **** the US by dumping all the US debt it holds on to the Market. That would be DISASTROUS!

The “(politically motivated!)” part...so is he saying China is trying to push him out of office? Or, is it just a buzz phrase he threw in? Does he even know at this point?

that’s China’s trump card, no pun intended.

Even dumping 1/4 of it would skyrocket the interest rate in the US, leading an Econ recession / panic in the US that’ll spread to other parts of the world—including China—like a wild fire

Should China make future moves to counter a lunatic's nonsense? Chinese are in great doubt now. It is not economy. It is not political. it is more like a medical issue in the whole WH.

What's the word on the street of Trump's trade war? I understand the government's reactions.
