trump's latest story pulled from his a$$ about Mexico paying for the wall... Trump claims Mexico will 'indirectly' pay for a wall through NAFTA https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/11/tru...ta.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
What does that mean exactly? A team of navy seals could not get over a wall with tools? Is there a squad or armed soldiers on the wall guarding it? Did they try to dig under it?
I know he's just pandering. But, what he's saying does not represent an indirect payment from Mexico. Sounds more like a tax on commerce and a deadweight loss. I thought our SEALS were elite. I can no longer respect them.
Did the Navy Seals try entering the country through ports of entry or by obtaining a VISA and overstaying their term?
Also not sure if that "Navy Seal Assessment" is evaluating the hundreds of miles of fencing that already exists at border towns like Matamoras, Juarez, Tijuana, etc. I've been there myself. You can certainly climb over with the right ropes. They put a curve at the top of the fence that makes it harder but you can get over it with enough time. The reason why its a fence and not a wall though is so you can see someone climbing over. Not sure how this "NEW" wall is going to be so much more sophisticated, and it wouldn't make any sense to have an impenetrable wall out in the middle of the desert when you can just go over it in Matamoras, or Juarez. Are we replacing that fencing too with the MAGIC FENCE that even Navy Seals can't get over?
Maybe trump brought people in from Philadelphia before the Seals and Special Forces tried to overcome the trump wall (patent pending) wall samples?
Key point, since this is how illegal immigrants get in. The wall continues to be an extraordinary stupid idea, by a monumentally stupid man.
They're actual seals. The Navy put their foot down with the executive decree to arm them with lasers.
LOL... and no surprise, ethical questions raised about company awarded trump wall (patent pending) contract... Questions raised over border wall contract awarded to small startup http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...ontract-awarded-to-startup-owned-by-firm-with
Refusing to pay contractors, questionable spending, and settling lawsuits? No wonder Trump likes them.
trump cites the Center for Immigration Studies (originally cited by Fox News) to support the building of his trump wall (pat.pend.)... CIS is a racist organization tied to white nationalists. Southern Poverty Law Center wrote this:
trump doesn't care about how unbelievable the lie is... the only way California's want his wall is if it walls trump in.. like in San Quentin.
