I'm still behind the man as he has done more for the business, small business and the freedom of small entrepreneurs to start businesses than anyone in modern history. His willingness to fight the septic tank of big government, big media has been a glimpse of hope in a country that is turning towards silly socialist and fascist policies by those that wish all powerful governments to decide what is best for people. How any idiot could think a guy who is limiting governmental power and putting people in the supreme court and in government who are reducing government power is not helping the common man, they simply don't understand how an economy works.
NBC/WSJ: Trump Approval: 43% | Pelosi Favorable: 28% | Trump Favorable: 39% So for anyone hearing that Trump's approval is falling through the floor, you are listening to liars. You should stop doing that.
Did you see Pelosi's favorable rating? For those of you who think she is some sort of national treasure, think again.
Pelosi, or as I call her, "Nancy" doesn't need national popularity. She isn't running as a national candidate. She only needs to effectively position the Democratic House for successful legislation. And, in some cases, stop republican or trump. So far, she has done that twice since taking over as Speaker of the House.
Funny you should tout *this* poll... Americans fault Trump for chaotic government shutdown, as more believe US is ‘on the wrong track’: NBC-WSJ poll https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/27/trump-faulted-for-government-shutdown-nbc-wsj-poll.html
I thought the polls were fake and wrong? Aren’t these the same polls that said Hillary would win the election?? So now the outlier poll you cited is correct because.... yeah. He’s not popular dude and never really was. He lost the popular vote by 3 million and continues to push policies like trade wars that harm the electoral college states he needs in the Midwest. The economy is his biggest draw to re-election and we are likely to see zero growth this quarter due to the shutdown. Trump was given to him a fool proof economy but he’s apparently a bigger fool than we thought to F$&@ even this economy up with utter stupidity. If he’s not appealing to independents and mid western working class voters he’s a risk to you in getting re-elected and preventing 2021 - 2023 from being a government with full Dem control to pass things like Medicare for all. So keep on giving cultish support to your King and fighting the libs on the Internet on his behalf if you want to. Doesn’t change the facts that whichever poll you want to site or not site.... Trump is a very very unpopular and ineffective president who looks like a loser going into his re-election bid.
He's not helping small business, or even larger businesses, if you deal in construction and agriculture. The tariff and immigration policies have hurt those fields. While he has cut regulation the haphazard way he has done it has raised cost with permitting as there is unpredictability about what regulations are being enforced and how they are interpreted. While he keeps on claiming he has brought coal back the statistics don't support that. https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/23/trump-says-the-coal-industry-is-back-the-data-say-otherwise.html Further he's crippled efforts to help coal regions transitions to other industries while doing little to help deal with longterm health issues of coal miners. Finally the government shutdown while it hurt government employees it has also been very hard on small businesses and independent contractors who do business with the government and service industries like restaurants who cater to government employees. According to Trump's own economic agencies we have possibly shaved off 1% of GDP from the economy because of the shutdown. For reference a 2% decline for two quarters is a recession.
