Well.....on second thought.....you never know when you will need that 8th wing. Gimme an extra large with a side of fries baby.
Murray saw this thread and said, "Well, shite. Everybody loves Troy. Guess we have no choice but to keep him."
He can play, MDA just didn’t trust him partially based on how he played in limited minutes at the end of games. Good for him!
Yeah, too bad we cut him to make room that that former-allstar-being, playoff-experience-having, great-clutch-shooting, awesome-lockerroom-presence chump Joe Johnson.
Troy Williams is taking advantage of the limited playing time with New York Knicks. I think its the best situation for him to showcase his talent rather than rotting on the Rocket's bench. For some reason, D' Antoni never gave him any playing time. There were plenty of times in a blow out game that he could get some playing time but our coach chose to give that time to others. I personally think Troy deserved playing time over Bobby Brown or M. Brown. Agreed, with the current roster we have, he won't be able to get any minutes. There has to be some reason why he couldn't get any playing time, when a player like Gerald Green who was sitting at home for 3 months get signed and get to play on the same night he showed up without a single minute of practice (I am so glad we signed Green).....Oh well, that's why I am not a coach and its for the basketball minds to decide.
Troy's still employed... Pelicans agree to two-year deal with Troy Williams ...though, thankfully, not by us.
