Not a meek groupie either... you don’t have to believe me when I say he’s in jail for riding a dirt bike illegally and breaking up a fight... you can look it up for yourself. But to people like you who cares, he did something stupid originally so who cares if he does 20 for running a red light he needs to be perfect.

And no I’ve never been in trouble with the law because I’m sure that’s where we’re going next

    read this.

"Meek was convicted of drug distribution and illegal weapon possession in 2008. He faced five to ten, managed to be sentenced to two, but was released early (less than a year) with a five year parole. Queue succesful rap career, and in late 2012, Meek travels out-of-country without notifying his PO, a specific condition of early release that he agreed to in lieu of completing a 1-2 year sentence. He had enough money to lawyer up and get this violation charge thrown out, in return for his travel being temporarily suspended. Seems pretty fair, right?

Except mere months later (early 2013), he again travels out-of-country without Court permission, or even telling his PO. The Court gives him "community service" classes and a warning.

Then he leaves to tour a third time that summer without a travel voucher, right before his 5-year parole times out. He eventually plea bargains to suspended probation and serves 5 months in county jail (July to December 2014), in lieu of the year-plus remaining on his prison sentence.

Despite his lawyers being completely able to obtain travel vouchers for the re-probation'ed Meek, in December 2015 he decides to travel a fourth time without notifying—again, soon before his new probation timeline was up. Rather than take a full bullet or more, in February 2016 he plead to 90 days house arrest with six years of probation.

Then, in March of this year, an obnoxious St. Louis Airport employee asks Meek for a photo, then starts complaining about "how rappers treat their fans." Meek, with his entourage, decide to physically confront the employee, and almost everyone involved gets charged with assault after a brawl ensues. Normally this wouldn't be a huge deal, except Meek took probation last year instead of jail. Before the violation sentencing, a few months later Meek decides to drag race dirtbikes in NYC in the middle of the night, and is charged with reckless endangerment."

as if he's being thrown in prison for riding a dirt bike.

They initially gave him 1 year out of the 10 years for weapons and drug distribution. He has since broken the terms of his probation and parole 4 times. I mean how many chances should he get if he just doesn't want to follow some very simple conditions.

And no he wasn't just riding his dirt bike, he was doing high speed wheelies and racing them in a city street in NYC, he very well could have killed himself or some other innocent pedestrian or driver.

I never defended why he was initially in there.... if you think he should get 2 to 4 years for a dirt bike than more power to you. I know repeat offenders that have been caught doing 100+ on motorcycles doing crazy ish... they don't get 2 to 4 years

again he didn't get 2-4 years for doing dirt bike stunts he is getting 2-4 years for repeatedly breaking his probation terms in the PAST 5 years. I like you refuse to address the fact that he has yet to complete 1 term of probation/parole without violating his conditions.

This wasn't his first, or second, or third time he has violated his conditions, I don't know what you are suppose to do as a judge at this point. Give him more probation so he can break them again

Has he violated his probation since his original crime?

What was his original crime? And how long did he serve for that?

Well, if you’re that judge, you definitely shouldn’t be trying to extort someone whose probation you’re in control of like the FBI seems to think this judge is doing...

Can we get a plea deal where if Meek Mill gets free from prison he promises never to rap again?

James Harden pays visit to incarcerated rapper Meek Mill: 'hopefully we can get him out'

On Tuesday, Houston Rockets star James Harden visited rapper Meek Mill in a Philadelphia prison, according to an Instagram story by the NBA player.

Mill, a popular Philadelphia rapper, has been serving out a two to four-year prison sentence he received in November for violating his 2008 probation, which stemmed from a gun and drug conviction.

"Got a chance to see my bro @meekmill today," Harden wrote. "His spirit is high and hopefully we can get him out by February."

"[Meek Mill] told me to tell y'all when he get out he got some fire for y'all," Harden added.

The Pennsylvania rapper was sentenced after appearing in court for two 2017 arrests; in March, he was arrested for a fight at a St. Louis airport and in August he was arrested for not wearing a helmet while popping wheelies on a dirt bike, according to CNN.

Mill and Harden are longtime friends and the NBA star plans to sport a pair of "Free Meek" sneakers during upcoming basketball games, according to Sports Illustrated.

Some view Mill's incarceration as an unjust and racially-charged sentence, including rapper Jay-Z, who recently penned an op-ed in the New York Times defending Mill.

"Meek was around 19 when he was convicted on charges relating to drug and gun possession, and he served an eight-month sentence," wrote Jay-Z in November. "Now he's 30, so he has been on probation for basically his entire adult life. For about a decade, he's been stalked by a system that considers the slightest infraction a justification for locking him back inside."

Meek Mill is a moron. He was a habitual parol violator, any non celebrity pedestrian would get five years with no protest. Don't free his stupid ass, keep him locked up and free nonviolent drug felons

I'm of the mindset that non-violent offenders shouldn't be in prison. It’s a waste of resources and you’re exposing prisoners to actual career criminals that may recruit them. That said, what is the judge supposed to do when Mills consistently violates his probation? Four times he violated his probation and left the country without even telling his probation officer. He was an 18 year old kid for the original offense, but he last violated his probation in December 2015 at the age of 28. Why does he keep doing this?

KCP currently can’t leave the state of California for 25 days due to being on probation because of a DUI arrest earlier this year. That’s why he hasn’t played out of state road games recently. What would you do if you were the judge and KCP just decided to leave anyway? You’re basically saying you’d do nothing.

Mostly agreed. Drugs and guns go together like PB and jelly though.
