    Possibly but he didn't have the same impact on the game as a Kobe or a Jeter, or Peyton or Big Papi. I think he's seeing how the country is treating its beloved athletes on the way out and wants a piece. The reality is his retirement will be handled as assiduously as Antwan Jamison's. He should've retired last year, he's got nothing left to give and he's now keeping a roster spot from some guy that can. Besides this is Vince Carter's season for the farewell tour

    The guy was done last year and it would of ben best for all parties if he would have retired in the offseason. The positive is that he is mentoring Clippers rookie PF Diamond Stone who may be a second round steal.
