Nike would love to have PG here to halt the ascent of Adidas just like they did to Under Armor by sending KD over to GS.
imho this is the best Paul George thread bar none. Murray chasing the unreachable star. The possibility of Paul George. This is my quest, to follow that star, No matter how hopeless, no matter how far To fight for the right without question or cause To be willing to march into hell for a heavenly cause And the world will be better for this That one man scorned and covered with scars Still strove with his last ounce of courage To fight the unbeatable foe, to reach the unreachable star
Morey is intrigued by the possibility of Paul George. He is trying to crash that Lakers party. beautiful poem, beautiful possibilities everywhere. Morey is intrigued
any updates on pg news today? How likely does it seem at this point? Id say my confidence level is about 3%
I'd say odds are higher than what most people think. Everyone is worrying about next season but a lot can happen in a year. Everyone is throwing low balls at the moment but I reckon it will take 2 first round pick and a decent player to get it done. Lakers are thinking they're the only one in the race and not even offering the 2 first rounders they have at the moment. We can take George if we want, queation is if we are willing to sacrifice not drafting until 2020. Big risk but I would take it. If Goerge is coming it means we are all in. And he's a better fit than all of the free agents out there
2 day old article but I think it shows that we will try to be relevant in the discussions until its over. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...mors-rockets-remain-interested-in-pacers-star
I'm ok with not drafting in the 1st round - With Dekker, harrell, Onuaku, Isaiah, Jo Qi and the rest of the stash, i feel like Morey has primed the team to go without a pick in the #20-30 range for a few years. We have young players who can step in and play a role + a few prospects with upside - that's really the two most important things you want from your young guys. Not ok with a rental though. Gutting the team to raise our odds at a title from 5% to 20% is not good enough for me. Those are the type of moves that set a team back years and waste a superstar's prime. Let's not be the Brooklyn Nets.
