When will people learn. When Donald Trump calls, you hang up the phone. Get close to Trump and you end up in trouble. Trump is one bad hombre.
Trump’s past comments about pleading the Fifth look pretty ominous now https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ous-now/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.b775de61bd85
Stormy Daniels attorney: Trump comments on Cohen ‘hugely damaging’ http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...hen-hugely-damaging?__twitter_impression=true
LOL Poor Cohen. Every defense he comes up with gets tanked by the president. In this interview the president both confirmed that Cohen represented him in the Stormy Daniels settlement (lol Trump!) AND made it sound like he's a small player in his circle.
LOL... and it didn't take long for trump's TV rant to become part of the government's case against Cohen (and trump?)... https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/4447558/Cohen-USAO-20180426.pdf
Someone on twitter described it best. If you are Trump's attorneys, watching him go on tv has to be like watching your kids play in traffic. Stable genius indeed.
It's incredible. It's just amazing how stupid this man is. There is likely nothing in the world more threatening to him and his future than the tons of documents & recordings the feds are holding after raiding Cohen. The #1 priority for his team is to impress upon the judge that most or all of them are protected by client-attorney privilege. The president shoots that down by publicly saying Cohen does practically no work for him. And the contradicts himself by admitting that Cohen did represent him vs. Stormy. On national television. I mean, on one hand, I'm happy he's this dumb! Thank god he's not evil and competent, right? How on earth am I supposed to regain any respect for the lovely friends and family I have who actually think he's good and competent? How do we recover from this, when it's over?
What's really scary is that if you are an evil genius despot wannabe you have to be looking at what happened with Trump and think "Holy crap it CAN happen in America." I don't think Trump is evil at all. He's just a con-man with no understanding nor respect for institutions that managed to get himself elected by playing on the fears and resentments of white america. Since then he's fumbled around with his desire to be a strongman, but he doesn't really have the instincts that true political revolutionaries that have taken their countries by the throat have had. Imagine if he did have those instincts.
http://thehill.com/regulation/court...med-to-review-documents-in-michael-cohen-case Highlights: Very interesting- state prosecutors at first wanted the taint team to review the docs, now they've changed their minds and have agreed with Cohen's team on a special master to review everything, in part because of Trumps' interview on Fox & Friends. They are sounding very confident that a great deal of the documents are not protected.
