Yes a coach that doesn’t know how to make simple in game adjustments and is struggling to do that job alone should not have his role expanded to GM in addition to the above. It’s a conflict of interest when the coach is not good and he gains GM powers. He will in that situation abuse his power to obtain minor impact players with major assets. The worst thing is he also gave away major impact players for minor assets. All in the hopes of scrounging enough wins to avoid getting fired.

As is tradition the Texans get some wins and then get some loses to end up 8-8 and backdoor into a playoff loss. That's the most consistent thing about this head coach and franchise.

So have Martin or Mingo contributed at all?

I think Martin shows up from time to time, but Mingo has been basically exclusively in the kickoff unit?

    Right, total non factors.

Terrible trade no matter how you spin it.

We have zero pass rush now. It's a lucky moment when someone gets to the QB. There's no way we can do anything in the playoffs against good teams like this.

I mean, the players weren't supposed to be world beaters, I was just checking in on them.

Once we flush that 3rd rounder down the toilet then the failure will be complete.

They're also paying half of clowneys salary. And Seattle will get a compensatory pick, probably 3rd, if clowney leaves

Watt + Reader + Mercilus was fine.

Now, we're paper thin on the D line. Smh.

BoB offense + this D line = Burnt toast

To be fair, we didn't do anything in the playoffs even when we did.

Mingo played 7 defensive snaps at Baltimore. He had one for all the previous games com ined, which happened against Atlanta. He has 0 tackles. He is averaging 15-20 special teams snaps per week.

Martin is averaging about 10% of the defensive snaps and has 5 total tackles and no other defensive stats. He managed 19 defensive snaps at Baltimore, which was about 30% of total defensive snaps - easily his most active week. He averages maybe 6 special teams snaps a game.

Hmmm....Clowney misses game against Eagles. Seahawks have their BEST defensive game of the season. Damn, guess that makes Clowney worth the money!:p

Clowney will do well to make it back this season. Core injury = out 6-8 weeks. Luckily he's giving his hurt knee/groin time to heal. Wise decision to cut ties with Clowney.

Martin also sacked Brisset Thursday night on the speed rush, let’s not leave that out. He’s the most serviceable player out of that trade

For everyone complaining why people keep bringing Clowney up when he has a good game; this is the reason here. Talking about the man being injured when the team played good defense against a team without like its top 3 WRs, best RB, and starting RT. Did you say the same thing about the Texans shutting down the Jaguars after Watt got injured?

Oh, NOW you want to move on...probably because he is injured. LOL. Every time he did something for Seattle, this thread would be bumped. Now that he is non-factor because if injury (again), you want to forget.

I don't bump this stupid thread to promote clowney, don't group me with others.

I been telling u to move on from this stupid trade. I don't even follow Clowney's games, u should also.

he's gone and isn't on our team anymore.

BoB made a stupid trade that weaken our defense, it is what it is.

Wise my ass. Yes, wise not to sign him long term, but trading him for a crappy third round pick instead of franchising when you had a chance was a total bonehead move.
