It's certainly not factual, but it does make sense that they'd try it. Lamar Miller is not a between the tackles power back so there's good reason to think that they'd put in someone who could handle that role better in those situations. If Foreman thrives in that role, I could see the Texans expanding it to where we'd see more of a platoon at the RB spot.....of course it's way too early to say if he can even handle the short yardage stuff yet.

Miller isn't a between the tackles kind of runner. Add to the fact that he hasn't been able to handle a full workload and foreman makes sense here

I will say that Miller is somehow a fantastic goal line runner tho...

Actually, Le'Veon played at and above 250 lbs. at MSU.

Complaints about D'Onta Foreman's pass blocking ability are due to his form. This was primarily a coaching issue. Texas's new offensive coordinator last year, Sterlin Gilbert, is from the Art Briles coaching tree. Foreman was coached to always cut block his man during pass blocking, something Briles had done for years at Baylor.

Foreman was often left in on passing plays to block simply because was the best back on the team at recognizing where the blitz was coming from, even when he was gassed and ideally should have been subbed out. If you watched his game footage, he was instrumental in helping our true freshman QB spot where pressure was coming from and make adjustments. Foreman has the intelligence, instincts, and strength to be a great pass protection back, he just needs better coaching on technique.

This is why you don't draft players from UT

Not in the least, there's a history of UT players ending up being idiots and that's what I was referencing. You know, Ricky Williams, Vince Young, that kind of thing.

Priest Holmes, Derrick Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Justin Tucker, Brian Orakpo, Earl Thomas, etc....You'd hate to have those kind of idiots on your team.

Yep, he did a dumb, dumb, dumb thing. He never got in trouble at UT as far as I know, 'cause Charlie Strong sure as hell wouldn't have tolerated it. Baptist Bob and Coach will not be happy about this.

Hopefully this is a wakeup call, the offense will really need him this year.

Mr. McNair don't play games. You got to be a good Christian to play for this team.

If you are 3rd pick why would do this. You don't really have any guaranteed money.
