I liked this pick to bolster O-line depth, we had tons of injuries and had questionable replacements. Father is a NFL offensive line coach (Chiefs) and Texans like Charlie's pedigree, much like Blaylock's.

Clint knows his stuff and has a great demeanor.

6'8" is tall for a lineman (or any player) but I guess Heck is still able to get leverage.

Not sure how good Heck will be, but he comes from great stock/coaching and if he keeps Chris Clark retired than that's a win. I like Rod Johnson and didn't see this as much of a need as RG, but I'm just a fan.

Texans seem to look for pedigree.

Now that I’ve watched the entirety of the the #Texans 2020 NFL Draft class in depth, here are my grades:

    Ross Blacklock: B+
    Jonathan Greenard: A+
    Charlie Heck: F
    John Reid: B
    Isaiah Coulter: B

Overall it could’ve been worse. Thankfully there were no TEs, QBs or special teamers.

Missed one game with the broken bone and decided to play all year instead of letting it heal

Mack brown said on 610 that Heck played all year with a broken finger so that may be what limited his power and hand strength while blocking

we need a back up QB. If we didnt draft one we can pay low for cam newton that can run the same system as watson.
