Can someone explain what this means for the Texans? I don't know anything about this guy. Why do we want him instead of a coach with NFL experience? I'm genuinely curious!

Two people with knowledge of the negotiation said the deal was finalized on Tuesday night and that O’Brien will be coming to Houston for the announcement on Thursday.
