Thank gawd I'm not the only one that thinks they look just like the Pewter/Red Tampa unis. Like I said, all we need is a pirate ship in the North endzone and 1 fewer SB ring.
I don't see it at all. People are complaining aboit the numbers and they're literally the exact se numbers we have now. I guess I'm in the minority,but those, with a white helmet would be awesome.
they look like uniforms used in those 90s nfl movies/shows where the nfl logos and colors could not be used.

I did like the idea of keeping Houston the space theme. Astros, Rockets, Apollos/Novas/ something along those lines...
Houston Apollos was my first choice hands down followed by Houston Roughnecks. When people say it sounds like a USFL team name just look at the Packers, Browns and 49ers. I am glad every team name doesn't have some generic high school mascot like the Bears, Panthers or Lions. It is now 14 seasons later and I honestly still feel like our name is kind of dumb but I am still a fan. I want to like it but i feel like our design and theme to match the name was poorly executed. Keep the name but give me a rebrand with Jim Bowie as a mascot instead of Toro and I would be happy. Maybe a Come and Take It flag as the logo for the helmet (minus the words).
blue facemark would make all the difference on the white helmets.. and it would only look good with the all whites.
I remember when they were polling for the team's new name; Texans, Apollos and something else were the finalists. My 12 yr old self, or however old I was at the time, chose the Apollos with the quickness. I am happy with the Texans as currently now though. Apollos still wouldve sastified. I just wonder what the logo would be. Another rocketship?
@JR The Colt 45's would have been pretty damn cool. However, in today's PC world it would have never stood a chance because of the gun reference. Hurricanes would have been cool too. Of the finalist, I was on board with Apollos. With this guy as the mascot. Spoiler I'm used to Texans, and it seems natural now. I still would like to have seen some concept art for the logos of the other finalist names. As far as the color rush unis, all they did is reverse the red and white on the all Deep Steel Blue uni set-up The stripe on the pants is red vs white, same thing with the numbers on the tops. Spoiler The best thing is though, is no huge red collar! lol I'm gonna get one.. I think that they are P.I.M.P.
