    What a waste of money. The DoD could've saved a lot more Syrian lives by donating $200 Million in food and medical aid.

    Leadership is only partially based on might. Economy and the ability to use the carrot of aid has a major role as well. In addition to that, the person at the top also plays a role. When that person is someone who upon whom nobody can count, is known for being dishonest, not having a grasp of world affairs, withdraws and belittles organizations which also weakens our voice then that leader is damaging America's leadership role in the world.

    Its an odd situation, not sure there's an alternative...

    If you reduce the massive military budget , focus on health care and infrastructures etc,most likely the US will loose ½ of GDP within a decade, the USD$ survival needs military supremacy backed by leadership

    Every time I think about Syria I think about God knocking Saul off of his horse

    Seriously every time

    I used to hang out at SRO and there was a regular named Saul. I used to get on his nerves talking about the Bible story every time I saw him

    I feel bad for those people, I really care about the destruction of history
