Lakers guard Nick Young will decline player option, test free agency
    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...s-lakers-decline-player-option-2017-18-season

Lakers guard Nick Young will decline his $5.6 million player option to become an unrestricted free agent, his agent Mark Bartelstein said.

Young, 32, faced a deadline of June 21 to make a decision on his option. Had the nine-year guard, who averaged 13.2 points in 60 games last season, opted to decline his player option, he would have hit the open market July 1.

In four seasons with the Lakers, Young started 71 of the 220 games he appeared in, averaging 24.5 minutes and 13.1 points per game.

If we acquire him it'll be because we depleted our depth trading for superstars. So I'm all for the addition of Swaggy P.
