I'm actually surprised Bomani knows Rockets history. Bomani grew up in Houston, but doesn't rep Houston at all.

Stephen A Smith also doesn't believe Patrick Beverly harassed Kevin Durant and forced him to get technicals fouls and foul out.

When you say 'Vernon Maxwell' that means you know something about the 90s Rockets.

People don't understand that back in the day, we didn't have 200 ways to watch the NBA.

The Rockets were not the marketing darlings of the NBA, we were shoved Lakers,Celtics, Bulls every week on TV on NBC.

There was no NBA league pass or Russian hacked sites to watch.

Proof is Robert Horry, they act like Horry first made a clutch shot as a Laker.

Who cares what people say about Clutch City. Houston fans get over it! Hakeem was legit!

went t several games v Bulls; IIRC TheGoodGuys were always TheWinningGuys. My strong lament is blowing that series in '97 and not kicking MJ's arse.

The media hated the 90s Rockets.
Robert Horry won 2 titles and was super clutch, and they only talk about him with the Lakers.

    That's pure disrespect.

Maxwell on any other team would be talked about like Ron Artest or Draymond.

Horry got his reputation from a career of work, with Houston he hadn't had long enough of a career to develop that rep. And it wasn't until that Sac series and he hit that game winning shot that he became recognized as big shot bob. That's not disrespect to the Rockets. Most of his career was with LA & SA, not Houston where he only spent 4 years.

I don't think the media disrespects us. Sam Cassell, Robert Horry, Kenny Smith, Drexler, Hakeem - that's a pretty respected group.

He hit lots of Clutch shots for the Rockets and was considered the next Scottie Pippen.

He was clutch before LA. And he's even pointed that out.

A year ago you wouldn't shut up complaining about the Kellerman threads.

Nah, @tinman's Clutch-Sense tingles like crazy whenever one of these fools disses the Rockets.

Jordan himself has said that, when he was playing the Rockets and being guarded by Vernon Maxwell, he knew he was going to be tired the next day.

He hit clutch shots all the time yes - even against Seattle in 1993 in that game 7 overtime loss. He was called the next Scottie Pippen in the orlando series after he got 7 steals in a game or something like that. He's always been clutch but he's also been understated which is the reason he wasn't big - it took playing with the Lakers to get the spotlight on him. Yes, the Rockets were not a major basketball town in the 90's.

What put Houston on the map was the 90's though - it was Hakeem - who today is immensely respected and what makes Houston a basketball city. But a big reason Houston doesn't get respect is that there aren't enough fans like you to fill that arena.

I believe most of Stephen A's stuff is fake and same with Max Kellerman, but I'm pretty sure they both dislike the Rockets championships

    they can burn in hell

I still haven’t gotten over OJ’s car chase during game 5 of the NBA finals versus NYK.

Disrespecting our greatness by putting us on the small side of the picture in picture while this clown was on a 40 mph car chase was straight tomfoolery
