Silver needs to do the right thing and stand up for those kids.

Stand up.for the Uighers while he is at it.

Those are two different things.

The only aspect the NBA can control are the NBA camps.

Beating kids in sport academies is very likely an archaic form of punishment and outdated but I do not see Silver changing that. A malpractice for decades.

He can only close that academy.

Possibly getting them the proper education/school work they need.

It's like with orphans in the foster care system, you cannot get them out of the system once they are put there.

It's easy to get mad for sure.

 

So I didnt watch last nights nba, but just a snip from nba.com. Did they really only play the National Anthem without the lyrics?

Speaking out when something is wrong is everyone's responsibility. Pretending to ignore it to continue financial gain is cowardly.

Social injustice does not just exist in the US. It would be hypocritical to turn blind eye now, just because it is happening in another country.

NBA has some influence, use it.

Do not be a Steve Kerr or worse, a hypocrite like Lebron James.

 

F the national anthem being played in the 1st place. As far as aesthetics and the whole broadcast goes, the fake audience sounds are working quite well. I'm only baffled at how cheap everything looks and how an organisation like the NBA with all its resources and money could not use any augmented reality and digital effects like logos and such. Hell those fans on screens looks so amateuristic. Don't get me wrong, they did a nice job, but you cannot tell me the NBA could not - if they wanted to - find a way to make this looks much more professional.
