True, but Boston want to have a guy who will stay there after? McGrady will be happy to stay with a playoff contender and a friend like KG.

For a Rockets fan I guess Allen for T-Mac for short term is a decent deal, but no reason for the Celtics to do that.

Allen can still be a good player in this league and is used to playing in the Celtic offense.

If they traded for Mcgrady they would be getting no guarantees of how he can play or fit in with that team.

No way Celtics trade Allen for Mcgrady no reason for that.

No way Boston would take Tslack but how funny would it be to see Tracy adopt that KG-type bad attitude that infected the entire Celtics squad faster than a zombie virus.

If Morey pulled that off, I would kiss the ground on which he walked. Seriously.

LOL the Celts are trading Allen for a reason: Allen is a one dimensional scorer earning the Max. IMHO everyone on the Celtics roster is overrated-even KG, although in his defense he's already old and probably still injured. Think about it, the Celts have 3 (maybe 4) all stars on their team, and they're not even the best team in the East?

We get Allen and the euphoria for getting something with Tmac will last till Allen's first bad shooting night. Then you'll see him getting manhandled on D and generally abused by all the other guards in the league. Then you'll smack yourself in head for essentially getting black, SG version of Peja except he's making the MAX instead of 12 mill

Battier-Andersen for Allen Straight up ( I know tough to let Shane go but Allen would be nice.)

Then T-Mac & Hayes for Iggy and Dalembert

    AB/Lowry
    Allen/C-Bud
    Iggy/Ariza
    Scolandry
    Yao/Dalembert

    + JT and Conroy

( then yet again Ariza might be thick headed and might not want to come off the bench but he's been relatively good about doing it in LA and Orlando)

a rumor I read said Kirk Hinrich and John Solmans for Allen. If I was the C's I would do it. They would have a back up point guard and Solmans to replace him.
