Yo @Louka, I asked for Joe so I'm asking for Ryan. Drop some positive vibes for Anderson! Use whatever voodoo beads or shrunken turkey skulls to get Anderson's shot to go in TC.
POST INJURY RYNO!!!! 0 PTS!!! 0 Rebounds! 0-0 from the Free Throw Line 0-0 from 3 0 minutes!!! IT's a NEW SEASON RYNO!!!!! Time to Shine!!! GET READY FOR THE PLAYOFFS Rocket River
Bump. Hoping we can get some good energy and spacing from the road space gawd. Nothing but positive vibes for our brodie.
Positive vibage coming your way, Ryno. Also, remember those games you played in Minny this year? I do. 6/10 from 3 point land and 7/12 from the field for 21 easy points then 4/5 from 3 for 14 points The North Remembers
Can’t believe I’m actually excited about him coming back. He had been playing well. Hopefully he keeps it up.
Ha! What a wonderful surprise to see a Rhinoceros show poster in this thread. Thanks, @Plowman. I think Anderson has the power to be a MAJOR difference maker in these playoffs, especially since we're struggling somewhat from 3. When I met him at the play I told him I wanted one thing out of him in the playoffs and that was to put up 10 threes a night. He laughed and pointed at D'Antoni and said, "I love that! Go tell coach!" We all agree his contract is too high but most forget it was signed in a year when all contracts were too high and seemed like they were only going to keep getting higher. That didn't happen but even if he isn't worth 20 million a year for us, the guy that we signed to 20 mil/year has a lot of untapped value. I'm especially excited to see him play at the center position, situationally, since that worked out really well at end of regular season. I also see so much improved effort from Ryan on both ends of the floor. He knows he's playing for his future and he's a gamer. If we can get him back on the floor he will make a difference and not just with his unholy ability to hit the 3 ball. Of course I want Luc back very badly but that's going to be a while so right now I'm focused on wanting Ryno back as soon as possible. It's very difficult to have a tough 3 point shooting night in a team-wide way especially when we're fielding Harden, Paul, Ariza, Tucker and with a bench that includes deadly shooters like Gordon, Anderson, Green, and hopefully Luc soon. To me so much of the success of our second unit depends on what an offensive threat it is and that's so because of moving Ryan to the bench as much as any other thing. I know people don't like the contract and I don't either but the fact he isn't worth 20 mil to us doesn't mean he isn't worth a lot to us. He absolutely is.
You're most welcome, Batman. Figured you'd get a kick out of it. : ) You make an excellent point regarding Ryan. At this point it doesn't matter whether he makes 20 or 30 million. We just need him to be able to perform his role...which he's more than capable of. Hope you're feeling better these days ....a title might help, eh?
I look back at that signing and I'm like what's the difference? We need him and if we didn't pay him that money, he'd be in Sac Town or something. Best case scenario is we could have gotten him at maybe 18 mil a year? What's the difference really? He's a big that shoots the 3 at 40%... that's an asset to a coach who likes space.
Twolves can’t win with our stars having off nights, Gordon looking like a rec league chucker and 2 rotation players out. Anderson comes in and goes 3/7 from deep and it’s a steam rolling. Despite Ryan’s streakiness and home/road differences they have to guard him at 3. That’s where his value, contract and role all stem from.
Between being invisible on the court & otherwise injured, it's easy to forget this guy [still] exists. Does he still exist?
