Scouts say D'Antoni went an entire game without calling a play

Yes it is. Weird how he was rewarded for it last year but laughed at for it this year.

I suspect it's a trash writer working with trash scouts. Any scout should know that we don't call set plays.

 

As Steve Kerr has proven, anyone can be a good coach if they coach that team.

 

CP3 and Harden aren't great runners.

Per this site the 05-06 Suns avg time of possession was 13.7, which was fastest in the league where the avg was 15.6

For us this year it's 14.8, which is ranked 23 in the league where the avg is 14.2.

So only a second difference, but it's huge considering every other team is playing faster nowadays too.

Also we're LAST in the league in time of possession after a turnover, whatever that's worth.

 

I don’t trust anything Tim says because dude is notorious for bashing anything HOU sports, not to mention he’s a Dallas homer.

 

Case in point - Pops by all standards is a great coach, yet look at his team's W-L record. He absolutely shined with Duncan, Leonard, Parker and Ginobili. Now he's looking at the possibility of missing the playoffs for the first time in years. Makes me wonder what he could do with this team as constructed.

 

My point of view is if Morey is unable to add 4 old players like James Johnson, George Hill, Ariza and Korver next summer, then he has to change the coach.
In short, MDA is not going to lead this current team to playoffs at any time. It is not worth spending big luxury tax for a lottery team.

And if were being honest he's seen as the GOAT coach. It's the same with Snyder and the Jazz, where is the blame on him.

If there is one bright spot this season its that the Spurs and Jazz are right there with us in the trash bin.

 

What plays do you want him to run? There's no Princeton offense, there's no post play, theres no midrange game, it's only predictable Moreyball allowed. We have shitty defenders too.

Honesty, I BEEN saying the Rockets don't run plays. But that's more on Moreyball than it is MDA. Now the bench sucking is more on MDA, given his short rotations & his unnecessary axing of Melo

 

Dantoni is hesitant to incorporate that style of offense because out of the two superstar guards the Rockets have, one is thicc and sucks at cardio and the other is freaking old.

He knows with Harden and CP3, he can't have them running back and forth in a fast paced offense.
